This 25' diameter BSP furnace is the heart of a char
production plant.
High capacity BSP multiple hearth carbonizing systems have been applied to a
wide variety of materials ranging from wet wood wastes to fruit and nut shells.
Systems have been installed with pre-drying equipment and steam boilers to
recover the heat from the volatiles driven off during char production
Control techniques developed over many years assure precise control of
temperature, atmosphere and production quality. Unique concepts of heat
distribution and reuse developed by BSP thermal engineers have enhanced
operating performance in existing char production facilities.
